Charging station with energy storage system solution

 

The ACADIE NEW ENERGY (ANE) distributed energy storage system, during the peak charging hours at night, by discharging power through the energy storage system and implementing the unified EMS energy management strategy at the station level, can reduce the power demand on the grid to 50% of the original level, thereby lowering the distribution costs, or doubling the number of charging points at existing sites. At the same time, the energy storage equipment can also participate in peak-valley arbitrage and the scheduling of VPP virtual power plants, generating more revenue. The ultra-fast charging station can be equipped with a liquid-cooled energy storage system that supports 1C charging and discharging, providing greater power capacity for the ultra-fast charging equipment.

Background of the Plan

The customers of public charging stations are mostly operational vehicles such as ride-hailing cars, taxis, and logistics vehicles. Large fast-charging stations encounter difficulties in power distribution and have low transformer utilization rates. The peak electricity consumption period for such charging stations is during the early morning hours at night, followed by the noon period, which is approximately 50% of the peak value at night, and about 20% during other periods.
